Programme Content

The ILM Level 7 qualifications for Executive and Senior Level Coaches and Mentors are amongst ILM’s most senior qualifications. They provide senior managers and consultants, (both practising and aspiring), the opportunity to develop as leading practitioners in their field. They will help you to gain a detailed understanding of the coaching contract, the knowledge and skills required to deliver results for individual clients and the opportunity to put these into practice whilst receiving coaching and supervision. They are delivered through a blend of learning that is tailored to the needs of each student. They are demanding programmes but the rewards can be very high.

The programmes are centred on delivering executive coaching or mentoring in the workplace. Students design an executive coaching or mentoring programme that will have real impact in their workplace, or in an organisation they are working with in a freelance capacity. They will then use reflective practice to develop and improve their individual performance as an executive or senior coach or mentor. The programmes offer coaching and supervision sessions, a library of resources, individually defined CPD, online learning and reflective practice and practically focused assignments. Students develop their own executive coaching or mentoring performance supported by their coach supervisor, focusing on achieving high levels of impact for their organisation or clients.

These ILM Level 7 coaching and mentoring qualifications are prestigious awards in their own right and are amongst the ILM’s most senior awards. They also provide students with up to 40 credits at Level 7. These credits, which are at postgraduate level, can be used as a stepping stone into Masters level qualifications. The Academy of Leadership & Management has developed strong links with a number of universities and can facilitate advanced entry to MSc and MBA qualifications, providing exemption from the entry requirements of the universities.
