FREE Workshop: New Consent Model for Data Sharing
Location: North West Employers HQ, Exchange Quay, Salford,

The Caldicott Review into Health and Social Care will propose a new consent/opt-out model for data sharing. This event will enable people to make an informed decision about how their personal confidential data will be used to inform health and social care provision. This could have a major impact on improving integration of services. The session is going to be practical, with hands-on testing of the models and exploring the conversation prompts that would be used with the public.

The workshop is aimed at: Policy leads, operational social care staff, homecare and residential care workforce, people who receive care, and advocates and user groups.

  • Staff/Providers/Professionals: AM
  • People who recieve care, carers, charities, providers: PM (Lunch provided)
  • Policy Lab/NHS able to meet travel expenses and scope for organisations to invoice for backfill for essential roles.
  • Looking for 20-25 participants

Practical Examples of two consent models:

  • How professionals might implement them
  • How the public might experience them

It would be useful if some colleagues attending the morning workshop could be present at the afternoon workshop.

Please contact Janet Appleton if you would like to attend and the NW ADASS Programme Office are happy to discuss any queries that you may have.
