Haelo – Thinking Digitally

Interchange is brought to you in partnership with the NHS North West Leadership Academy. We have been working to improve cross-sector relationships to promote the sharing of valuable knowledge and experiences. We organised an Organisational Raid with Haelo, an Innovation and Improvement Science Centre. The event gave participants a toolkit to improve any situation, as well as interactive sessions to test change and improvement in real time.

Organisational Raid – Improvement with a Difference


Discover the fun in Improvement Science with Haelo

Is this for you?

Haelo is an innovative NHS improvement science centre based in Salford, working with systems, organisations and teams who strive to be the best. Their goal is to tackle the biggest challenges for health and social care.
They design and deliver improvement programmes, build capability and provide measurement and evaluation to our NHS and public sector family (Their partners are Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, NHS Salford Clinical Commissioning Group, Salford City Council and University of Salford). Their work is supported by significant expertise and a unique offer around digital media, knowledge management and innovation.
At Haelo, they believe passionately that improvement should be fun. Their innovative approach generates energy for change and an appetite for continuous learning. They constantly push themselves and thosethey work with to think differently, to test new approaches and to share learning for the benefit of all.
This Organisational Raid will give participants an overview of Haelo’s work and share how they do things differently, giving you exposure to and knowledge of a different sector.

What can you expect?

This half day workshop will look at (but not limited to) how Haelo use Improvement Science methodology to make real and sustainable improvements, using digital media to take things mainstream, the power of networks and how they engage and collaborate with their partners and commissioners.

The Our Manchester Experience has arrived and is ready for you to get on board.
To help us get to where we want to be in 2025, we’ll all have to work together as never before, and our staff – you – are the driving force in building better lives and stronger communities.
Manchester believe you are essential to making this journey a success. No matter what you do, or where you are, you’ve got a big part to play in making Our Manchester the way we do things in our city and our Council.
It’s an interactive and immersive journey developed to inspire you and help you understand Our Manchester and what it means to you!

What can you expect?

The Experience is different from other ‘training’, there’s no powerpoint and you wont be sat still! – Your own stories will help shape your journey and the Experience itself as it constantly evolves, and you’ll have plenty of space and time to think about what Our Manchester really means for you.
It will give you an understanding of the journey to Our Manchester: where we’ve been, where we are now and where we aspire to be.
You will have the opportunity to think about how you can play a part in helping make the Our Manchester vision come to life.
