Organisational Raid – Improvement with a Difference

Discover the fun in Improvement Science with Haelo

Is this for you?

Haelo is an innovative NHS improvement science centre based in Salford, working with systems, organisations and teams who strive to be the best. Their goal is to tackle the biggest challenges for health and social care.
They design and deliver improvement programmes, build capability and provide measurement and evaluation to our NHS and public sector family (Their partners are Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, NHS Salford Clinical Commissioning Group, Salford City Council and University of Salford). Their work is supported by significant expertise and a unique offer around digital media, knowledge management and innovation.
At Haelo, they believe passionately that improvement should be fun. Their innovative approach generates energy for change and an appetite for continuous learning. They constantly push themselves and thosethey work with to think differently, to test new approaches and to share learning for the benefit of all.
This Organisational Raid will give participants an overview of Haelo’s work and share how they do things differently, giving you exposure to and knowledge of a different sector.

What can you expect?

This half day workshop will look at (but not limited to) how Haelo use Improvement Science methodology to make real and sustainable improvements, using digital media to take things mainstream, the power of networks and how they engage and collaborate with their partners and commissioners.

10 Keys To Happier Living: Connecting With People

In todays hectic and fast paced world filled with distractions, it can sometimes be hard to make the right amount of time for yourself and others around you. All too often you will board a train or bus and see a sea of people all staring down, absorbing themselves into a digital world, whilst seemingly forgetting that there is a whole world going on around them full of knowledgeable and interesting people that have the ability to change moods, educate you and make you smile.

New Consent Model for Data Sharing Workshop

New Consent Model for Data Sharing Workshop

The Caldicott Review into Health and Social Care will propose a new consent/opt-out model for data sharing. This event will enable people to make an informed decision about how their personal confidential data will be used to inform health and social care provision. This could have a major impact on improving integration of services. The session is going to be practical, with hands-on testing of the models and exploring the conversation prompts that would be used with the public.

From April 2016 we will be working closely with the NHS Leadership Academy on our groundbreaking Interchange programme launched late in 2015.

North West Employers have always had a long standing relationship with the Leadership Academy and this is just one more collaborative working project to extend the reach of the Interchange programme to the North West region and beyond.

Interchange has the power to contribute to the region’s collective thinking about how we might tackle the challenges of system- wide public services reform, such as integrating health and care in the broader context of wellbeing, growth and devolution.

“We have worked in partnership with North West Employers since 2008 on a number of cross sector initiatives. This latest venture – Interchange – is very exciting and has the potential to link up lots of leaders, enhancing cross sector relationships, enabling increased understanding and inclusive ways of working.” Deborah Davis – Director at NHS NW Leadership Academy
