Deborah’s Background:

From selling pick ‘n’ mix at Woolworths as a Saturday Girl to approving mortgages of £1m at Nationwide, a very varied career.  The bulk of which was spent at Nationwide Building Society as a Manager and a Consultant.  And I’ve enjoyed every single job I’ve ever done! The most exciting job to-date was travelling around the United Kingdom helping my colleagues adjust to their new branches to meet their revised stretched business targets.  The funniest job I’ve ever done was working as an Attendance Officer in a school.  I could write a book on some of the most outrageous excuses for student lateness or absence.  But the hardest and most rewarding job I’ll have is that of being mum to my beautiful daughter.

Deborah’s favourite pastime out of work:

I’m a Man City Season Ticket holder.  So of course, as soon as the Football Season begins, I’m there.  Worshipping my beloved Blues week in and week out.  Outside of the football Season I busy myself working on my Family Tree.  If you’ve never carried out your own, beware, it’s addictive.  And can be costly!

Deborah’s favourite life quote:

‘What if I fall?’ ‘Oh, but darling, what if you fly?’

An interesting fact about Deborah:

During my college days, I worked as an airport Representative for Rank Travel Manchester Airport.  My boss and colleague was a wonderful lady whose husband was an ex- Manchester United goalkeeper.  A true gentleman who very graciously even made my dinner on a number of occasions, despite my football allegiance!
