We know that Greater Manchester’s devolution journey means organisations will have to work closer than ever before and effective collaboration has never been more essential.
Changes to the public sector landscape across GM require a new generation of leaders to lead across, within, and on behalf of organisations & place. The new GM Leadership framework will support existing leaders and develop the next generation to drive forward change as part of a collaborative leadership community.
GM Leaders of the future are expected to understand the GM ambition and the need for it to be delivered in all corners of GM. They will excel in leading within, and on behalf of, their organisations, systems and place.
Therefore, we are undertaking an exciting range of activities to inspire and support the next generation of leaders from every sector and every area of Greater Manchester – making connections between organisations, sparking debate and generating innovative ideas to drive forward the delivery of the GM Strategy.
There are two main parts to the Grad XChange work:
Grad XChange Placements – the opportunity for graduates from across organisations that deliver public services to spend a week in another organisation to help them to experience life from another GM perspective.
Grad Fest – on the 20 November at the Youth Zone in Manchester the Grad Fest brought together 100 plus graduates and future leaders for a festival of future leadership, knowledge exchange and commitment to the future.
