Hybrid working, new ways of working, agile working – whatever you choose to call it, one thing that’s certain, is that the way we now work has changed for the foreseeable. Our desire for a mixed model of both remote and office-based working is probably greater now than ever, since our ability to test out our new hybrid ‘experiments’ was briefly disrupted due to the outbreak of Omicron.

Although this is the case, we have managed to learn a few things in practice that, as and when government guidance changes, we can build upon to continue to support our people in coming together for meaningful conversations, deeper interactions, and high-quality collaboration.

At North West Employers, we understand that there isn’t a one size fits all solution and recognise that all of our hybrid models will probably look quite different. Our role, as the regional employers’ organisation, is to bring together our knowledge of what’s happening across the North West and then use this to pull together some useful resources that may help to prompt your thinking as we transition back into a hybrid world.

Whether you’re interested in the HR aspects, are considering the workspace and how to create a more collaborative environment or supporting managers to manage hybrid teams, we’re here to help.

We’ve set up an online community of practice for our members. Here you can access useful resources, share policies and ideas as you work through the transition. If you’d like to join us on Basecamp – click here and let us know.

If you are piloting some ideas and would like to share these across the region, please get in touch and we can feature your work in our future events and publications.
