Thinking on the Spot Techniques
Aims and Objectives
Do you ever find your mind blanking out when asked a question? Previous participants have described it as a classic “frozen rabbit in headlights” moment.
In this hands-on taster workshop you can learn how to gather and articulate your thoughts concisely, clearly and convincingly. A wide range of techniques will be explored and rehearsed to help you make the most of your mind – taking less and less time with practice – until you can truly, think on-the-spot.
The secret is to have the right simple structures to build your thoughts around. Once your mind is comfortable with the structures, it is easy to fill in the gaps. And not just fill them in, but make them engaging and convincing.
You will also stop and reflect on “the inside out”. What it is that is going on in your head that influences your ability to respond, and learn techniques to make that work for you.
Typically participants will be anyone who wants to learn techniques for articulating their ideas rapidly on the spot, be that in one to one situations or in an auditorium of 300 people.
By the end of the course the participants will:
- Structure their thoughts quickly, even when put ‘on the spot’
- Articulate their ideas concisely
- Be authentic in their responses which will generate massive engagement
- Fill up their toolkit with processes and techniques
