Julian Stodd proposes a new model for Leadership: enabling us to unlock creativity, collaborate widely and to act fairly. This masterclass will explore this model in more detail and provide a space to come together, share, listen, co-create and learn.
Social Leadership is based upon our reputation, earned within our communities. If we act humbly, with authenticity, if we are kind and generous, we will earn the reputation we deserve.
This masterclass, facilitated by Julian Stodd, author and founder of Sea Salt Learning and Susie Boyle, an experiential leadership consultant, is designed to be informal, bring people together, share thoughts, ideas and challenges Social Leadership and Social Age bring within the public sector. People in all roles and at all levels of the organisation are welcome.
Together we’ll consider some of the work that Julian and Susie are doing around Social Leadership, the importance of community, and on trust between individuals and organisations. This masterclass will cover;
The Socially Dynamic Organisation this gives context to the social leadership work, and explores the nature of organisational culture and change, and resistors to and amplifiers of change.
Why social leadership this allows us to see why we need social leadership, and we will go on to explore the NET model of social leadership.
The Triangle of Trust gives insight into the relationship between our intentions, impact and actions and will explore the landscape of trust.

“A truly inspiring workshop! Julian shared many refreshing insights which helped us to make sense of the changing landscape in Greater Manchester (GM) and challenge our thinking to work differently, around the many opportunities to help improve the lives of people across GM. The tension which may exist between ‘social’ and ‘traditional’ leadership styles really resonated and is helping us to develop as social leaders…stepping into the traditional leadership space as appropriate and encouraging mutual respect. Sea Salt Learning really do ‘walk the talk’ which is vital in Leading GM”.
Rita Evans, Leading GM Programme Director.
