January 21, 2020 @ 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Councillors’ roles are constantly evolving and we understand that as local politicians, there are a number of demands that you have to juggle. This changing role was reflected in “The 21st Century Councillor” research (University of Birmingham, 2016) along with some key skills and behaviours that would support councillors.

One of these themes was resilience; resilience focuses on the individual, and supports you in coping with adverse events without reducing performance whilst improving your wellbeing and happiness?

Drawing on our experience of working with councillors and the latest research. This workshop will combine tips, ideas and strategies on how making small changes can help you to develop and sustain resilience, as well as helping you create a practical and realistic action plan.
