Resilience focuses on the individual, and strengthening resilience enables the individual to tolerate and cope with adverse events more easily, without reducing performance. What do we really mean by resilience though? Is it something that anyone can develop? And how does resilience affect performance, wellbeing and happiness?
In this workshop we will draw on experience of working with councillors, senior managers and staff across the public sector and the latest research, to explore how you can build greater personal resilience in yourself. We will share with you; tips, ideas and strategies on how making small changes can help you to develop and sustain resilience, as well as helping you develop a practical and realistic action plan.
