Brilliant Public Sector Masterclasses
The waiting is over – our next series of inspiring and challenging Masterclasses for public sector leaders has landed. We have lined up some of Europe’s top talented speakers who are experts in their field.
Working with leading coaches, psychologists and business leaders, Professor Damian Hughes has identified the STEPS process, which explores the psychology of engagement.
Simple: Finding the core of your message.
Coaches determine the single most important message and then use a high concept pitch to drive behaviours.
Tripwire: Create the Unexpected
We spend approximately 95% of our time using our basal ganglia, the part of our brain that loves routine and habits. How can you break the pattern of predictability by using the gap theory of curiosity?
Emotional: Make people care
If people care, they will act. Great coaches create emotional impact to engage an audience.
Practical: Help people understand and remember
Our brains do not easily retain abstract concepts. Great coaches make their ideas concrete to provide a common turf of understanding.
Stories: Get people to act
Stories act as simulation and help guide people in how to act. Pixar animators use their simple methodology to tell a story that can be translated into everyday use.
