Performance is something that managers often find a challenge to manage objectively. From the annual appraisal to the regular 1:1 conversations. There has recently been a movement away from the formalised, ratings based approach to a more agile, in-the-moment feedback and response method.
We at North West Employers are grappling with the issues mentioned and have partnered with Thirsty Horses to think through some of the challenges. Our aim is simple – to help organisations find a way through the challenges through discussion and co-creation.
We accept there isn’t one single solution, but multiple layers of work and experimentation that need to take place to enable our member organisations to be proactive in this arena.
We have arranged an event where we will be looking at the role of digital technology in the workplace. Our focus is around the role of technology in managing diverse and often dispersed teams. We will be discussing questions like.
- How can staff reliably build and maintain positive working relationships with each other and their managers.
- How can managers provide in-time feedback and support autonomous working?
- How can HR/OD provide Board assurances that staff efforts are aligned to the organisations Vision, Values & Goals?
If you are able to please bring a laptop or mobile device to help with your participation.
