There’s some great examples of place-based leadership happening, and we want to share and celebrate this whilst using the learning to create the right cultural conditions for our members to build capacity and sustainability with partners and communities.
We offer a range of support covering the full lifecycle of a councillor, including services around political leadership, personal development as well as scrutiny and governance. Underpinned by the 21st century councillor research and complemented by our Councillor Charter, our offer provides robust support and access to the very latest innovative research and thinking.

Who’s It For? The workshop is aimed at public sector leaders, Councillors, frontline staff including NHS, Local Authorities, Housing Associations, Police, and Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector.

Women in Political Leadership Programme – September 2023
This is a brand new programme consisting of four x two-hour, face to face, modules, aimed at newly elected women Councillors, but also more experienced female Councillors who want to connect with peers to share experiences, develop a peer support network and hone their leadership skills and vision. This programme will give you the practical ‘know-how’, insights, tools and confidence to tackle challenges.
