First #LeadingGM Leadership Programme Immersion – 12 January 2017
On Thursday 12 January we held our first #LeadingGM Leadership Programme Immersion event. This first Immersion was attended by half of the inaugural #LeadingGM Leadership cohort, with the second group to complete their Immersion on 27 January. The event provided the delegates with the opportunity to explore ‘living systems & adaptive leadership’, and to answer the question – ‘How might we lead innovation differently, to integrate our health and social care systems to deliver better outcomes for our citizens?’
Our GM Leaders were guided through the day by Chris Lawrence-Pietroni and Myron Rogers. We were also joined by Donna Hall (Chief Executive, Wigan MBC) for the opening, as well as Peter O’Reilly (County Fire Officer and Chief Executive, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service) for a session on ‘Leading Innovation’. Rita Evans, the new Leading GM Programme Director wrapped the day’s activities up. It was a fantastic day and our GM Leaders did some great work grappling with real issues and challenges in their work and place.
